About this product
This Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) mycelium in grain form is the ideal starting point for any cultivation project, whether artisanal or commercial. It is a strain selected for its vigor and rapid colonization, presented in a fully colonized 500 g format, ensuring a low probability of contamination and high biological efficiency.
What is it for?
The mycelium functions as the "seed" of the mushroom. Its purpose is to expand over a final substrate to allow subsequent fruiting (appearance of edible mushrooms). It is perfect for producing fresh, nutritious foods with a delicate flavor profile reminiscent of seafood.
The colonized grain is mixed with pasteurized substrates such as corn cobs, wood pellets, sugarcane bagasse, or white wood sawdust.
It is recommended to use a ratio of 1:3-1:5 for rapid colonization.
Once mixed, it is stored in darkness at a constant temperature (ideally between 20°C and 25°C) until the entire bag turns white.
The emergence of mushrooms is induced by making small cuts in the bag, increasing environmental humidity, and allowing indirect light and fresh air to enter.
This format is excellent for those seeking consistency in their harvests and high-quality oyster mushroom production at home or on the farm.
